What? LOL. We already have mobile artillery, it is called the Paladan. If you want to piss off a tanker or an artilleryman, just refer to anything that has armor as a tank. It is great fun.

Look to the past and all of the hate against the M1 Abrams. We didn't need it, it cost too much money, there is no longer a need for tanks with modern air power. Blah, blah, blah. Desert Storm proved all of those folks wrong. The M1 was needed and proved itself over and over.

Wingnuts have been preaching about air power being the end all to conflict since the end of WWI. Well, it isn't that easy. Precision bombing only does so much. Plans can't retain terrain, only tanks and infantrymen can do that.
