Arsenal of Democracy Flyover -Webcast 5/8/15

Celebrating the 70th anniversary of VE Day, The Arsenal of Democracy Flyover will occur over the National Mall in DC today at 1010(mst). They are opening P-56 Airspace in order to allow 56 aircraft in 15 formation's to make the flyover at 1000ft. These aircraft will be assembled in formation by the battles they took place in. The battles include Ploesti, Midway, The Mariana's, The Yamamoto Shootdown and many more. As time goes by we have fewer and fewer of these brave men and woman around making this flyover all that much more special. As the Grandson of a Naval Aviator in the Pacific and a Tanker in Europe, these commemorations hold a special place for me. Some of the aircraft flying will be P-40's, P-51's, B17's, P-38's, a B-29, Corsairs, P-47's and many more. The Flyover will be live streamed at
