They don't have a set screw for the pivot pin but they have one for the bolt catch and also for the rear take down pin.
I use a thin piece of something sturdier than paper. For example, a price tag or something like this:
I put the spring in, then the detent and push it all down with the tag (or whatever you're using). It's so thin, it lets you slide the pivot pin right over it and you can just slide the tag out once the pin is in. Just make sure whatever you're using is strong enough not to tear when you use it to push the detent down.
I just built one using a razor blade in a utility knife, worked like a charm. It took about 45 sec.
