How bad is the west side looking
4pm and east of Monument had 6 inches on Highway 105 making it almost impassable. People were stuck on the hills and couldn't get from I-25 to Highway 83
This morning near the same area there was 6 inches of hail on the road and near impassable. Some forecasts are putting this area at possibly 10" and over of accumulation. That would be easy to surpass since 4 hours ago they were more than half way there and it is still snowing like it is on sale!
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
At least my lawn is finally green now.
"There are no finger prints under water."
@ the Fedcenter in Lakewood it's coming down good and slowly starting to stick to parked cars but that's about it so far. If this keeps up it should be a fun ride home about 12am.
Hooked up the plow on the pickup just incase I need to use it in the am, since snow equal income I'm ok with it. If we do get what they claim there's going to be significant tree damage which also equals income.
Starting to turn to snow out here finally.
We have had more than 6" rain in the last tree days and are pushing 10" for the last month. This is getting ridiculous out here.
Hwy north of us is closed and detoured in two places and the detour roads(rural county roads) are starting to erode as well. Spoke to my pops in next town west of us and he said there were couple detours around flooded out areas as well. All the "dry" creek beds in the area have been over their banks and the farmers are getting hit for some crop damage on the wheat.
Wonder if we are paying for the fact that the 2013 flood was mostly a non event for us. We did not even get that much rain during that time.
And now the wind is picking up. Had 3 power bumps in about the same number of minutes.
Going to get ugly if this keeps up.
