House in my area went up for sale. Within 24 hours, they had 13 showings, multiple offers and they went over the asking price of $300,000.
Here's a fun little tip for home sellers. Set up a baby monitor or 2 in your house and hang out at the neighbors and listen in. I was able to get an extra 15k out of my house last year because I heard them say wheat they would pay vs what they were going to offer. Just don't let the wife listen in, she was getting pissed when people would comment on different aspects of her decorating.
My house went under contract yesterday after being on the market for 28 hours and having my pick of the 11 offers that came in (all were either asking price or more)... best time to sell and move out of state (my situation) if you have that as an option.
Just got our virtual tour done. Should be on the MLS tonight:

Our asking price is going to push the market but we feel it shows very well and has a lot of nice things (plantation shutters, open space, heated garage). New stuff since 2012: Carpet, paint, appliances, counters, master bath floors. Not much left to do but move in.
WOW!!! 11 offers, that is awesome, congrats.
Now have 8 showings for today and we didn't allow anyone in till 2pm. 3 different Realtors there right at 2.
We're in the toughest price range so I'd be surprised to get more than 1 but even with 1 solid offer we will be ecstatic.
Wishing you well on the outcome!
