Meanwhile at my kids' charter school, the fifth graders just held a Civil War reenactment as part of their history studies, complete with Union and Confederate period costumes and replica firearms. I love our kids' school.Originally Posted by Great-Kazoo

Do they try to sell you the DVD of the reenactment afterwards? Matthew Brady photographs they are not.
They reenacted the Battle of Chancellorsville at my daughters middle school for her social studies class. A month later I was able to walk her through the Chancellorsville battlefield in Virginia. She then understood why I didn't buy the DVD.
I'm glad the kids get a day outside and get to play army and dress up. It's better than sitting in a classroom.
