    Default First stamp

Got my first tax stamp approved for a C39 pistol to SBR approved on 5/10/15. Form 1 was efiled on 2/23/15.

My next stamp I'm wanting to go with a suppressor for this one, but finding a direct thread suppressor for the AK threads isn't easy. I'm also thinking about an AR SBR too.

I'm guessing you receive a stamp after something with a fist takes place?

Who knows. It's Dave's title, not mine.

You should have e-filed instead of thinking. Doing so gives you a NFA present quarterly . Now get out there and have fun

Wish I had the ability to, but if I tried it, the can would be more likely to blow up in my face than function.

Thank you to the mod who fixed the title for me.

Can't remember if we talked about this last week or not, but with an AK-style rifle what you really have to watch for is the threading. It's probably less of an issue now but they were notorious for having threads that were not concentric to the bore and not a good shoulder to square up against, so that's why you don't see as many AKs suppressed as other platforms.

Huntertown has had some customer service issues, but I've always found their cans were decent for the budget price. I believe they have a direct thread on 14/1 LH can (Kestrel 7.62AK) and there are probably a couple other options. More likely you'll find guys either re-thread or use an adapter though. Either way, I wouldn't go with a super-top-end can for an AK rifle. It just doesn't fit the "throw it in the dirt, Olga" mindset of the Russian gun...

    It's easier than you think.
