I'll be shooting the 7 o'clock match tomorrow. First time at a pin shoot, so take it easy on a newbie.

9mm - because they don't make a 9.1mm
Without reading through 11 pages...can I get the cliff notes of where this place is located and, uh, what are yall using for criteria of calling others "ringers?"

Since a handicap system is used to give novice shooters a chance against more proficient ones, you will rightly be called a sand-bagger or ringer if you claim to be a brass-tacks novice to shoot three pins instead of five. If you make it to the quarter-finals, you will be promoted to expert regardless. If the owner feels you are sand-bagging, you will be field promoted to expert. If you think you are only an average shooter, or are particularly nervous about competing, it's probably ok to call yourself an intermediate (4 pins) until proven otherwise.
Math is tough. Let's go shopping!
Wednesday is "advanced pins". which means you draw from a holster and everyone gets 5 pins. You must be holster qualified by Bristlecone. This is my first advanced shoot and I am expecting to have a great time!!! Have shot many of the regular Monday night shoots and have a lot of fun. Either event can have all kinds of surprises as far as good guys losing to less talented shooter, so come out and have fun. Malfunctions, leaving the safety on, mags falling out, choking, all these things happen and change the match. Heck, I once shot against a guy who had a part fall off his gun and he couldn't fire another round. It caused me to win. Which was nice because I was a pin behind. Mag changes are another part that is a game changer. The holster draw should add some good action and failures to the fun!
Last advanced night was blast. Maybe 2 dozen people so we finished quick and then spent some time playing. Ran some matches with 3 rounds in first mag, shoot to lock back and then reload. Made for a challenge and upped the skill involved.
Looking forward to tonight. First time with new belt and rig.

Damn it. I'm out and about for the day and prob didn't bring enough ammo for tonight with "after the match" playing and shooting.
Going to have to call in for support from a buddy who can bring me some extra ammo.
Rooskibar, is your name Craig? If so, you and I have chatted a lot at the range.
I just switched up to the 5pm shoot - may have some extra. How many rounds does this usually take?
