My wife, son and I all shot at the 7pm shoot. Was a lot of fun. Wife and I were sharing my RIA 1911, and ended up shooting right after each other almost every time.

I slowed down and did much better, until my last round. I'm shooting a 1911, with 8 round mags, so I loaded up one barney round, put the safety on, then inserted a fresh mag, but it didn't seat all the way. So I got one shot, then malfunction, and by the time I got it running again, felt like I was so far behind that I rushed and blew it. People watching said if I had stayed calm I still had a good chance.

The wife has only been shooting about a year now, and never done any kind of competition. She did pretty bad first round, then some tips from RW and she did good her next couple.

The kiddo did ok, overall aim was pretty good, and he seemed quicker target to target, but missed a couple tough shots trying to clear a couple knock-downs. He's also using a 40S&W Sig P250, which is DAO with a really REALLY long trigger pull.

Lots of fun, very nice group, and lots of good sportsmanship.

Shot at 5:00. 1st match was great. Then sucked my other 2. Double elimination happened fast tonight. Had fun but am disappointed in my performance.

Looking forward to next week to try out my new sights on my 1911. I'll be signing up for the 7pm match.

And I'm looking forward to trying my new 1911. Surely this will put me in first place.

THEY ARE RUNNING VERY LOW ON PINS !!!!
Please swing by your local alley and NICELY ask if they have any used pins they would be willing to part with.
The smaller the alley the better as I have found they are more likely to have them. Feel free to try the large bowling centers too as they sometimes have them.
This is critical in order to keep the pin shoots going and at the price. I got them 150 or so pins at the start and my source is dried up till August.
Thanks to all who can scrounge up some pins !!!

I got a bunch free from that bowling alley on 16th Street mask a few years ago. Just called and asked.
