I'll be there again at 5pm next Monday. White hair, glasses, trim moustache. Regular street clothes, no gun advertisements. The last 3 weeks I was shooting an Ed Brown standard Special Forces model.
How you all be getting there for 5 o'clock. Don't y'all work ?

Yup- it's all about the schedule. I'm off that day.
I don't understand why everyone doesn't draw from the holster and shoot at 5 pins from 15 yards. How is anyone supposed to get better if it isn't hard? I didn't say anything earlier because I realized I can't comment since I haven't even attended. I'll have to see if I can break my Monday commitment some time to make it down there.
ETA: I imagine bowling pins is the step before a Texas star (which is my nightmare). Is that about right from you guys that have shot this match?

"There are no finger prints under water."
I'm guessing that they wanted something fairly easy at the start to see where it would go. Make it more inclusive. I'm quite happy trying to get better at 7 yards long before I have to shoot at 15.
Not to mention that misses at 7 yards can be quite a bit more humbling than misses at 15 yards.

Only you can be the judge on how Hard/easy it is.
I want to attend, but have never shot in any competitions, just paper targets. Afraid to be laughed at. I'll see about making it to one of them and observe.
I like the idea of the .22 rimfire steel match though.
