I can describe the result in two words: We're screwed.

Skimming over the videos.... it is a very simple concept in the modern world.

Electoral college preserves the States. Presidential election is a two step process: First win the individual state, and then (in essence) the State uses it's collective power to try to influence the election in that direction (with some exceptions of certain States that are retarded and invalidated all of their voters by splitting it proportionally). We are a union of States.

Make it popular vote and we may as well step towards the direction of not having State borders anymore.

Isn't that where we are headed anyway? Think of all the things the feds do that the states should be doing. Education, drug laws, labor laws, environmental regulations, etc. How many things are duplicated at both fed and state levels that should be states business only?
