Default Has anyone had trouble with Magpul forend?

I have a H & R Pardner 12ga, it's an 870 clone. Bought the Magpul MOE forend for it. It arrived today and super excited as I was, I wanted to install it right away. Disassembly of the gun was super easy. When it came time to put the forend on, it fit INCREDIBLY tight and I managed to get the damned thing stuck. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to get it out? I might have to take a wooden dowel & some sand paper to the inside of the forend when I get it off. I'm considering giving magpul a call tomorrow to see what they advise.

I'm going to throw it in the freezer & see if I can get it loose in the morning.

My guess is the they designed it for the 870, not the Pardner. The Pardner although it's a clone probably doesn't have all the exact measurements.

This, and I'm guessing Magpul will tell you the same thing.

    Blowtorch?
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

I looked up several YouTube videos and forum posts of people who installed it just fine on their H & R guns before buying it.

PS: I bought the gray forend, that's not a black color discrepancy.

If you have the need to pull the fore-end off you can heat your oven to 215* and place the fore-end in the oven for about 20-30minutes. The thermal expansion of the plastic is greater than steel and you should be able to remove the grip. If you still have issues removing it you can put ice in the ID of the steel for a few minutes which will shrink it giving more clearance. Do not heat the plastic more than 215*, this is a case where more in not better.
