Default Anybody have the means to load and haul pea gravel?

I have a metric shit ton of pea gravel that needs to be hauled off before I get sod done June 12th. The people that had this house before us never finished the yard but the turned a 20' by 60' section in pea gravel, ran it right up to the house and never put a grade on the dirt before doing it so it has caused the basement to food a few times. But I need to get it out so I can have fill dirt brought in before the sod guys can do their thing. Anybody do that work and have a bobcat and trailer? I do have a place to dump it lined up I just need it loaded and hauled. It would cost me rental on a bobcat and trailer and a days work to do it so if I can pay someone to do it reasonably I would rather do that.

Could you just lay the fill dirt and sod over the gravel?

Go rent a roto-tiller & till it into the soil, cover with fill/good dirt for sod, grade then lay sod.

I agree with this advice. Pea gravel isn't with much compared to trucking and machine time. Try to find another place on property to put it. Call me if you need a hand/advice. Text some pics.

Problem is it's like 1800sq ft of 6-8" deep. The sod company will remove it for another grand, which is what another guy quoted. I don't have anywhere else to put it so I am gonna have to suck it up and pay them to haul it off. It would cost me the bobcat and trailer rental plus a full day to haul it to my dad's house about 30 miles away, probably $100 in gas for that many trips so it's probably worth a grand to have some one else do it. I even posted it on craigslist but it does have some weeds in it so even the guy that wanted the rock for free didn't want it.

Cancel the sod, spray paint the gravel green and call it good. Between the money saved by not moving and watering it, you'll be up a few $$K end of summer.
There's probably some utility or tax discount in town for saving water.
If you don't feel like painting get some kids from the school art class to do murals.
