    Default BEAR ! ! !

There I was, taking a dump, and a Fn bear stands up outside the bathroom window.
    Biggest sombitch I've ever seen!
Came up on the back deck, pulled down a hummingbird feeder that was eight feet off the deck, broke it and began lapping up the sugarwater.
He was at least three feet wide sitting on the deck.
I tapped on the window and he ambled off into the woods.
    Still shaking.
    Won't sleep.
Neighbors said there were no bears up here. Fn liars.
    DAMN!!!
I am not a fan of bears - or anything else that can kill and eat me.
Keeping the 450 SOCOM next to the bed from now on.
    Damn I hate bears.
Lucky I was on the toilet.
Keeping the FAL in the bathroom now.

sissy! When I was archery elk hunting last year i heard WOOF, I stopped and thought thats weird sounded like a dog im in the middle of nowhere land... I took one more step and heard WOOF again and the hair stood up on my neck as i realized 1. it came from behind me and 2. it was most likely a bear because if it was a lion i would have already been dead. I turn around and 20 yards away is a beautiful cinammon colored black bear approx 200 lbs so not real big but definintely cool to see. Black bears arent anything to worry about unless you mess with their cubs, they are wounded, or YOU KNOCK ON THE WINDOW AND SCARE THEM JK. I would mark that up to a cool sighting unless you have munchkins then I would be a bit nervous!

I was driving thru a neighborhood in Littleton and looked over to see a bear walking down the sidewalk...I did a double take. Yep...bear. It was right near a bunch of parks and a greenbelt. Figure he came in thru it.

I've seen bears on my property dozens of times and every single time they just walk or run off as soon as they realize they are not alone. I've had them on my deck and the moment I look through the window and he sees me he bolts into the woods. There is very little risk of one hurting you if you keep your distance and don't f*ck with them.

Please don't panic and blast a bear just because he's there. Be careful, of course, but don't overreact either.

This was going to be my question. Assuming you get that one bear who wants into your home at what point can you defend? Does make my day type situation apply or do you wait until he's chewing on your skull?
