If they're been out of the sun for 10 years, are they still good?
No, Not good by most standards. The last four digits of the DOT number is the week and year of manufacture. I thought I read somewhere that store were going to stop working on or repairing a tire if it is past a certain age. That said, I'd use them if they were not cracked or weathered. Fact is there are some obsolete sizes of tires that are only made every few years. That means the tire may be 5 years old before it is even installed.
