Default Pagosa Springs, Glenwood Springs, or?

Looking to take the wife.. City girl, and son 2 years old for a mountain vacation... Would love to take the dog too but probably won't happen unless you guys come through with a nice cabin rental place.. Even though the wife is a city girl she still likes to fish and do outdoor activities but I couldn't talk her into camping and I suppose especially this spring it may be a bit too cold... We are heading up the 3rd or 4th of June and coming back June 7th.. Those are the 2 places we have looked at going but if you have better ideas I would love to hear them as we are struggling to put this together!

    thanks for any help!

The wife and I were planning on going to Glenwood Springs around time as you are. Hotel prices for the weekend were $400. A little much IMO. Still trying to find decent rates. If we do end up going, we're definetly traveling to Rifle to have lunch at Shooters Grill. Ouray is a fun town especially if you like off-roading and hot springs.
If the Odds are equal, you're doing it wrong

Glenwood springs. Amusement park, caverns, and Polish food. The trifecta of v time.

Vega State Park. They have some cabins. Just like camping but for city folk. There is a lake there to fish in. Oh, and there are nice bathrooms with showers within walking distance of the cabins so the women folk are pretty happy about that. There are small refrigerators and a microwave in the cabin as well and the cabins are heated. Pretty sure the allow pets in a couple of the cabins too.

    Here's a link.

Just between the two, I'd go for Glenwood Springs. As far as I am aware, it is the most expensive of the everything mentioned so far. If you're basing this vacation on the pool facilities, it probably has the most to offer. Of everything mentioned though, I think Ouray manages to offer great pool facilities in addition to lots of other things to do at a reasonable price.
