    Default 1911 .45ACP feed issues

Hey guys! Looking for some advice. I have a Citadel 1911 .45 that I recently started having issues with misfeeds. Lookin on some advice as to what I could try, or where I should take it to have it looked at. I've cleaned it, and oiled it multiple times, but still having issues?Any suggestions? Is this something I could do myself? Feed back appreciated thanks!

    Reloads or factory ammo?

    What brand mags?

Both reloads and factory ammo, round nose or hollow points. Factory mags used, I did try some GI mags, they wouldn't feed, had to trim up the feed lips on them, but yeah, now the factory mags are not feeding well either. There is quite a lip on the feed ramp, and the miss feeds have a big dent in the tip of the round?

There is a really great (yeah, he pays me to say it) gunsmith living in fairly close proximity to you if your profile location is accurate.

He isn't 100% but then again I'm not certain he ever was

All he can do is say "no." Costs nothing to ask.

When you say feed issues, is it jamming when feeding a round with an empty chamber? Or is it failing to extract the previous empty case?

Assuming it's a feed issue and not an extraction issue, I'd probably look at magazines and the recoil spring. The only other part that would seem to be related to feeding would be the feed ramp, but it was good until recently, I don't imagine that has changed.

Every time I've had an issue with a 1911 feeding, (once) it was feed lip angle. A smith re-bent them slightly and it's been flawless since. I also figured it was the feed ramp, but it was the angle the cartridge was pointing when it hit the ramp. Mag spring can do it too...
