Looking for people that collect WWI / WWII era firearms

I am reducing my collection and I have a Remington manufactured Springfield 1903. I really didn't want to sell to someone that intended to sporterize it or chop it up.

Obviously after I sell it, they can do what they want with it, but at the end of the day it is in really good shape, and it would be a shame to see it get butchered.

However, after I had looked around and had a handful of people point me in the direction of a shop that will not be named, because I will not do business with that man, I was hopeful someone on here might know of someone that would appreciate the rifle.

At any rate, I'd appreciate any help I could get finding it a proper home.

More details, please. My step dad has an early 03 that has the problem with the receiver (heat treat?) that really doesn't get out much for fear of damaging it. He also has a very nice 03-A4. Not sure if he would be interested or not. Year of manufacture? Is it an A3?

I love former USG firearms with some history in them. I've got 2 1903A3s (one Smith-Corona, the other Remington), a 1917, several Garands and several M-1 Carbines. By all means, post it in the Sale section with pictures -- and it qualifies as a C&R so the background check is optional.

Same here, unfortunately my budget at the moment has no room for anything new

I'll drop it in the sales section with pictures and more details. Manufacture date is 1942‑3000001‑3348085 (M1903)(Remington Arms Production).

That would be a nice mate for my 1943 Remington M903A3, if I weren't broke.

Actually, I'm looking to shift my focus away from current firearms (since I have them all now) and more towards older war pieces. I could be interested in adding this to the collection depending on #'s.
