    Default uncoordinated rebellion?

Nice, however... I'm not necessarilly interested in lasting the longest per se. I am interested in freedom and liberty and all those good things! Using the Terminator movies as an example: I don't want to "survive" the rise of the machines. I want to prevent it! Surviving the government's attacks on freedom does not look like very much fun... I would much rather prevent those attacks!

But here's something to chew on... When the government has "crossed the line" and "gone too far", I will take up my gun and fight back. But fighting as an individual will just get me jailed or killed. Everyone draws the line at a different level. Where is that line for you? How can we coordinate a counter-attack to defend the constitution if we cannot coordinate at all?

This has been a VERY interesting thread to read, it really has. Personally, I'm so far right I'm about to swing left, so I have a very biased view if things but there is one thing I believe is quite certain, and I have believed this for a very long time, and that is that civil war will be upon us again. We are in a catch 22 with Obama. First off, let me state without pause, that I am not FOR a civil war or any violence against the leader of the free world - no matter how much I disagree or dislike him - it shames our country. That being said, there are far too many factors going on here. For instance, if someone were to kill Obama then we have the makings for a civil war in that the black population would, I believe, rise up in violence against whites - then whites against blacks. Civil war. If someone doesn't kill Obama then we have the status quo, and now we have this country bitterly divided between the Obama lovers and Obama haters (and more so, republicans vs democrats). Look at these "town hall" meetings, showing that the conservative voice is FINALLY getting out there - we have taken it in the ear too long and are tiring of the establishment. If we don't find a resolution then we could easily end up in civil war, if for no other reason than many of the reasons stated in this thread.

I don't want a civil war. While some may see this as a cleansing of our government (and even our founding fathers alluded to this fact), it would rip our country into two or more smaller parts (can anyone say Czechoslovakia?) and end with the death of many thousands of Americans. Just because I don't WANT a war, doesn't mean I won't prepare for one in case everything goes to hell fast.

Of course I don't know what will happen and can hope for the best and prepare for the worst. I won't stand idly by and watch it happen, I will use every LEGAL means at my disposal to voice my dissent against this tyrant and his policies and can only hope that is enough. He will come for my guns, you can guarantee that my friends, and I will not go quietly.

So much hatred of Obama is very much like the hatred of Bush. I liked Bush, the first term, and thought he was a terrible leader the second term. I like HIM as a man, but as a president he left something to be desired. My own beloved party has gotten out of control, trying so hard to be "moderate" and instituting leftist policies just to appear middle of the road - they have abandoned their principals and have left me with a bitter taste for my party.

We have gone in this country from a position of not agreeing with the opposing party to outright hatred of the opposing party. This gets worse and wore each year and it will come to blows before it's over. Whether or not Obama ruins this country is ALMOST besides the point, we are doing it without him. I'm guilty of this, I freely admit it, I have now gotten to the point that I refuse to associate with a liberal because I detest them and their love of this dictator they elected as well as their outright hatred of the country I love.

Anyway, I figured I would use this as a soapbox to vent . I'm sure many of you may not agree with my standpoints, but this is how I see things and it's actually nice to put them down every once in a while (gotta LOVE America).

Oh, and God Bless the U.S.A!!!!!

    Do not worry.
Most people of this country are ingrained with what we believe in, the rights we have or want and will fight for to keep. those are the people who read the constitution for what it is, not try to interpret it for what they want it to be.
You will see great leaders, great people, known people take a stand, the groups will follow. All you can do is be ready and watch for the signal. you will know what it is when you see it.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

It may not be a signal fire but there will be a lot of smoke if the health care plan and cap and trade go through. IF this happens... I feel that we are sitting on the edge of a blade and at this point it's hard to tell which side we will fall on.

Did the cap and tax scam pass? Why do I feel a little more opressed everytime a democrap law gets passed and I get a huge feeling of relief when one of their laws don't get passed or sunsets?

An interesting question just came into my mind...

What defines a rebellion, as opposed to a civil war? And won't the government and mass media outlets just call it domestic terrorism?

In my mind, a rebellion is a group of citizens that stand up to the government while civil war is a country divided and duking it out to settle their differences. And, yes, I think that the media ALREADY considers us domestic terrorists with itchy trigger fingers just counting the seconds until we get to kill someone, especially a gument someone.
