    Default Triple Crown Winner

an amazing feat was accomplished today. For the first time in 37 years a horse has won the Triple Crown. American Pharoah took the lead within in three strides and never gave an inch, they tried to challage him at the turn but it was too late. Coming out of turn four he grabbed high gear and gained ground with each stride, finishing almost four lengths ahead. It was an awesome race to watch.

Affirmed was the last Triple Crown winner in 1978, before that it was Seattle Slew in 77' and Secretariat won in 73'

For those of you interested, here is Secretariat winning the Belmont in what is probably the most dominating fashion ever.
