Default Jerry Seinfeld on why he no longer does shows at colleges

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/seinf...-racist-means/

Jerry Seinfeld doesn’t play colleges and has no plans to do so in the near future because of how politically-correct kids are these days.

Seinfeld talked with ESPN’s Colin Cowherd on Thursday, and the radio host asked him about how PC the culture has become these days, citing comments from other comics about how colleges are way too sensitive.

I didn't like his show and haven't seen him do stand-up, but I can absolutely see where he's coming from. The level of PC and general sensitivity these days is BS.

Good for him! I could only handle Seinfeld in small doses-on the tv show I actually preferred the other characters over Jerry. I saw him once a few years ago and it was a great show-but I was glad when it was over. Some of his best work is his internet show "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee"-definitely worth a watch for fans of comedy (with a couple of exceptions, especially David Letterman's episode).

What I've always liked about Seinfeld's comedy is that it's observational without being profane. I'm all in favor of a good f-bomb when it's needed but too many comics use profanity in lieu of being clever. PC is ruining so many things in our society-it would be nice if others followed in his footsteps.

Try and make the film Blazing Saddles today. It would never happen, and it's a damn shame.

If Jerry Seinfeld is comolaining about colleges being too PC, you know there is a problem.

Hey anyone notice how PC colleges are now a days? What's the deal with that?!

Funny you mention that, I was watching it before the hockey game.
We have become such a nation of pussies.

Could you imagine the remakes of "Sanford and Son" or "All in the Family"???

Eh, I disagree. There are still people in showbiz willing to make funny, "edgy", and uncorrect work. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Office, Eastbound and Down, and Curb Your Enthusiasm are all fairly recent shows (Sunny is still on) that have been anything but PC. I feel like TV is less censored or watered-down than movies are today, however. So I can see your point on the film aspect. Maybe it has to do with the fact that films cost so much more to produce, so pushing the envelope can kill a studio's return?

Any of you think Django Unchained could have been made in the time of Blazing Saddles? Probably not by any major movie studios.
