    Default Use of Buffer question?

On the 12th I am taking former wife and daughter out shooting. We will be testing an ar15, 16" barreled 5.56 my daughter and I are putting together for her.
I have a pistol, 7.5" 300 Blkout, that I am also testing and adjusting buffer and gas port as needed.
My question is: can I sufficiently use the pistol lower with the pistol buffer tube with the carbine spring (11.0" long) and carbine buffer (3.0 oz) that is in it to test the 16" upper?
Reason I ask is I don't have the carbine 6 position tube yet to pre build her lower, so I want to use my lower to test the upper before tearing it apart to cerakote it.
I have an H2 (4.6 oz) buffer also to try in both setups.

    Thanks

16" carbine or middy should work fine with a carbine buffer and spring. When I went 16" to all 11.5" I didn't change anything and my H buffers worked just fine.
