Default BLM Camping south of Breck/HWY 9?

Anybody willing to share any secret camping spots south of Breckenridge/Lake Dillon? Looking for something off of HWY 9 near Alma. I know a few spots near Buffalo Peak Wilderness area that is south of that but hoping for something closer to Frisco/Breck.
Looking to car camp on a Saturday then head into town and do some kayaking on lake dillon on a Sunday then home.
Have (or should have after it comes out of the shop today) a 4 wheel drive truck. Not looking to get on crazy jeepin trails but off the beaten path is nice.

Must be something up the road to the parking area/trailhead for Lincoln, Bross and Democrat.. also known as Kite Lake Trailhead. I've seen people camping at the parking area, don't know if you need a reservation or not.

Kite lake is insane for camping. I will not recommend it. People arrive at the lake in the middle of the night to climb Lincoln and democrat. There used to be a couple of spot up boreas pass, not sure of the current condition though.
