Can you take down your AR-15 in 9 sec?

I was told that 9 seconds is what is required in basic training to take down a standard M-16. I'm guessing it means talking down the bolt carrier group too since I would have 7 seconds to spare normally. I seem to take my time doing it but never tried it timed. Can anyone else do it?

I would assume you have to have to take down the BCG, otherwise I agree, I'd have leftover time to scratch.
