Check with your local power/ phone companies. I've gotten poles from the local electrical coop for free. I just let them know if they were pulling old poles in the area, that I'd gladly take them off their hands if they were so inclined to drop them off. Saved them from hauling the poles back to their yard and disposing of them. As far as setting, it ain't that hard to dig a hole. Setting a long pole is a little more difficult but can be done with enough rope and a few folks. But if you're not one for physics, rope skills or possess machinery, then it might be best to find someone locally with a tractor or hoist of some type.
