Outside of Surprise Arizona as you exit the 101 there is a black guy with a sign saying "help me bury my son" He's been there for two years now and his son must be a real stinker by now.

I see cool and unusual stuff all the time when I commute. More in the rural areas though.

I know where the Scooby Doo van is parked in a field in Colorado. Anyone else know the one I'm talking about?

Another thing I always pass in Nebraska is a sign for "Original Pony Express station". I've always wondered if they mean "an" original one "the" original.

I used to enjoy driving by the army tank and helicopter out near Fort Morgan but they seemed to have moved them or sold them. They were at some sort of construction business off of Long Bridge Road just north of 76.

Saw the YouTube video. That's definitely the guy. Pretty much answers all my questions. Thanks!

There is s rock painted like a bright pink pig on the right side of the road on Fall River Reservoir on the way up to Alice. It used to be in some trees and easy to miss, but now they've cleared the trees away and it is out in the open.

The clouds/sombreros were moved from Pena Blvd to the Aquarium downtown.

We stopped at the Original Pony Express Station in Gothenburg, NE a few years ago. We were driving back from the east coast on US 30, the Lincoln Highway for it's 100th anniversary. It is a sandstone block building with exhibits inside but they were closed, so no joy. The Pony Express really didn't last very long, a couple of years.

I love long driving trips. They are even better when I am alone and on a rural road.

Saw them yesterday, you are correct. They look much bigger packed into the city than when they were in the middle of nowhere.

I'm happy for the guy. I bet when he is doin it he is on top of the world!

My commute is about 15 minutes. Can I post here if--to me-- my commute seems like it lasts all day? It is about 16 minutes too long for me.

I see a sign flipper on Chambers and Alameda that does something like Air guitar man. The only good part of my commute is towards the end where I get to see the moms in yoga pants jogging.

One time driving south on I-25 I saw a Prius on the shoulder, a second car, and a guy fueling the prius with an emegency gas can.

    Is that irony?
