Today, lack of sufficient parking killed the show for me. I looped the Crowne for 30 minutes before quitting. To answrr Eric: I suspect 3day waits will kill most shows unless the dealer is really local or you don't mind a lot of driving. I suspect thoses that only do NICS will be screwed because where will they store the guns dutring the process? Ex: you pay the dealer, he goes to the NICS'ers, hands them the gun you already paid for, they have to hold it..Fri, Sat Sun, ('if' you buy on Fri!). If the dealer does their own BGCs, the wait time still applies. If the dealer is local, now you have to travel to the dealer to get your gun. If not local, they have to send it to a local ffl for transfer (=$$$). Those are my thoughts. Hope I'm wrong.
Yes, the 3 day wait is not intended to stop anyone from actually killing themselves or commiting a crime if that is what you are asking.
Tanner show this week-end, April 21-23.
Did anyone go?
The weather wasn't the best, but maybe that keeps people from doing spring activities?
I am thinking of going to the one at Crowne Plaza, May 5.
I would like to sell a 1919a4 semi auto, but not sure of the best venue.
TANNER Gun Show in Colorado Springs is June 16th thru 18th.
Once again we will be at the Norris Penrose Event Center.
I just hope it remains dry for load in on Friday and load out on Sunday!

Well, that was a very busy TANNER show for us!
I did get to walk around and find good prices on guns I already own, so no purchases for me!
Well, I did buy some ammo from a friend.
Surprised that most everyone seems unaware of the changes already made to Federal and Colorado law regarding braces, and polymer 80 stuff, plus the no sales to people under 21 and mandatory 3 day delay for transfers that starts in October.
OH, and please don't ever stand at a table across the way and aim a firearm at me thru its optic, then track my movements as I try to move out of the line of fire!
And my fellow dealers, WATCH what your customers are doing with the guns on your table!

Sounds like gun safety training is lacking for some of the show attendees.
At the last show in Tulsa, I was clearing a lever action .22 that I was about to shoulder, and the magazine was full.
The vendor lived in the area and said he had just grabbed it out of the safe that morning.
I did buy the rifle, but the whole incident put me on edge the rest of the day.
At this TANNER show I saw two vendors examining two semi-auto hunting rifles that the one gent had brought in for a trade.
Turned out they both had loaded magazines in them.
Because the guy bringing them in was a badged vendor the security people had not cleared those guns.
Lucky they checked before putting them on the table!

Well, after October we won't have to worry about gunshows I guess (sarcasm lol). How in the hell is it supposed to work with a 3 day wait? Man, this state has pissed me off for a long time. If my son and his kids weren't here I'd be gone.
