Interested in one of these but which calibre? Ive always shot .308 but the Creedmoor and .243 seem interesting. Longer range/less recoil with that 6.5 but... Half/third the barrel life of .308 and 3x as much for ammo. Hate paying $1.50 per rd for each pull of the trigger. Damn decisions.

Hornady 6.5 140gr A-Max at Mile High is $26.99 per box or $260 per case vs. $29.99 per box of FGMM 175gr match. Or $32 for 178gr Hornady A-Max match. So the Creedmoor is cheaper. Mile High is in Erie, not a very far drive.

Barrels are a consumable item, and several companies have prefit barrels now.

I'm patiently waiting for Ruger to release a left hand version.

Price of match ammo for 6.5 is same (or less sometimes) to comparable match ammo for 308

All the more reason to reload. For now 5.56 is available and cheap, so it negates reloading, for now. One want's to step up their game. You need to give serious consideration to buying a press.
