    Default Carpet & refrigerator...

    Hi all,

Is anyone on here connected to the carpet or refrigerator world? We've more or less settled on the model of refrigerator (Whirlpool# WRB329DMBM) and probably looking at Stainmaster carpet - exact model is still a bit in flux. We've looked so far at both Lowe's and Home Depot, as well as online. I just figured I'd ask here as there seems to be a wealth of knowledge and suggestions amongst the members here. Thanks for any insight

Can't help you with the fridge...other than to say we shopped everywhere and found Home Depot to be priced the best, all things considered.

We just put Stainmaster carpet in two bedrooms that we purchased from Sloane's Carpet Secret. They deal with top-quality seconds and ridiculously reduced prices. If this stuff was rejected for some QC issue, neither my wife, nor I, nor the guy that sold it to us or the installers could find it. The stuff we got was incredibly expensive (I wanna say averaged $68 yard installed) but we got it installed for under $16 yard. It looks fantastic.

We've bought a number of appliances, including an LG refrigerator, from Home Depot. Between HD, Lowes, and Sears, HD had the lowest combined price for the appliance, delivery & installation, and hauling away the old appliance.

Are you looking for product advice, or installation on the flooring?

ETA: Disregard my post Mark. Apparently time moves faster than my brain. After making a few calls, it seems that all my contacts in the carpet world have retired. It's a shame, as I used to know/work with 2 or 3 of the most talented carpet guys in the Denver area, hands down.

We've pretty much narrowed it down to which products, at this point it's just a case of shopping for the best pricing. We aren't in a panic-hurry so it's a case of doing some research before making the plunge.

The current fridge works great but the wife wants the freezer to be lower, not upper (first world problem to be sure).
The current carpet (only in three rooms, the rest of the house is hardwood floor) is showing it's age, it's not a blight but it's probably time...

I've been eyeballing those fridges myself. Happy Shopping.

sears sucks...they have no record of me buying a fridge from them online, along with the warrenty...the online receipt is NOT good enough for them...but the fridge is over 10 years old and has passed the extended warranty period.
