    Default Old motorcycles

I had a chance to take a picture of some of my grandpa's bikes tonight. Sorry for the poor picture quality, the lighting was terrible. I thought some of you guys might be interested in that kind of thing. I believe they are three little Indians and a Whizzer.

    Indian

    Side car for that bike

    Both bike and side car

I believe another Indian, this one has three wheels and some cart on the back.

This one is a 1931 and my grandpa said, "I used to ride the shit out of that '31, till I blew it up."

    Finally, the Whizzer

Edit: The frame behind the Whizzer is apparently a Ducati.

I know i told you i haved you last time you mentioned some of his stuff. ....................Yep, still hate you. The 2 letters before the numbers on the left side case, on the raised / boss will tell you the tear. The SIL's father in law had a warehouse full of Indians and HD's. Saw many an inline 4cyl there, never a trike. That's some serious collector pieces he has. Hopefully they stay in the family.

I believe they rode either the red one or the yellow one to Sturgis many years ago. I thought they trailered the yellow one more recently (10 years ago?), but I'm pretty sure one of them was ridden there and back at some point.

Probably. He's got a bunch of parts up there. There is another completed bike on the main floor of the shop that I've posted pictures of before, but I don't think I have them on hand any more.

Jumping Jesus! You have any idea what those are worth????? What's the story? How is Grandpa? Is he healthy? I hope to God there's plans to save those and keep them in the family!

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't seem to sense a lot of interest on your part - please tell me I'm wrong! Those are far more than "Grandpa's got some old motorsickles....."

I don't know what I'd do with them. Plus, the family will probably get into a big fight over them. There is a 1914 Chevy (with the split windshield) that I've posted pictures of before, as well as a Desoto.

You need to watch a couple dozen episodes of "What's In The Barn" and "Chasing Classic Cars".

    Very nice.

Interesting how much less power it took to get around in the "old days".
