Here's a map of states that allow suppressed hunting. I maintain this map, so I'll try and update this page when it changes.
The American Suppressor Association is one of the main lobbying groups getting these laws changed to allow suppressed hunting. They also maintain a map of states where suppressed hunting is legal. Their blog is updated with their most recent legislative efforts and victories.

Gotcha. Yep. Anything auto, full or burst is noted as illegal in the big game brochure.

My Feedback
"Praise be to our prophet, John Moses Browning, who hath bestowed upon us the new testament of shooting. Delivered unto us, his disciples, on 29 March 1911 A.D."
I have hunted big game with a suppressor for several years. Have even had the game wardens ask me about them a few times.
I don't use one for big game but I do use one when I'm hunting coyotes and p-dogs. I was approached one time as I walked back to my truck after shooting a coyote, turned out somebody had called me in because they saw a guy with a gun trespassing. The game warden and sheriff were both waiting for me when I arrived at the pickup. I had permission to be on the ground, and after a quick call to the land owner to confirm and a check of my small game license, I was on my way. The only thing that was ever said about the suppressor was when the sheriff asked how I liked the Thunder Beast. They never even asked to see my stamp.
It is better to die on your feet then to live on your knees.
I was contacted by DOW once while hunting small game with a suppressed 22. They DOW officer checked my license, and sent me on my way. Never commented or even seemed to care about the suppressor.
Was asked once by the local District Wildlife Manager why I hunted with a suppressor, my answer was "because I can".
Common sense is a punishment for having to deal with those who don't have it.
Iowa's governor will sign a bill legalizing suppressors and hunting with suppressors on Thursday, March 31. The law will go into effect immediately upon signing.
