Next up, yes those are radial engines. This bird was so old that it could be landed in the water, once, but was forbidden from taking off again.

My radio position at Air Station SFRAN, yep, typewriter, Teletype, lots of other olde stuff. "Olde", like the reel to reel. Keep in mind, this is the same period when Tricky Dickie had a tape machine in the Oval Office. Ours didn't have "lapses" in the recordings, though.

Finally, and this is "no $h!t", this is behind the previous pic console...I have no idea what it's function was. The station's E.T.'s were genius types, or totally incompetent. Never did figure that one out.

Didn't see this until just now. I do love me some steam gauges. The helo with the blown aux tank seal didn't have a glass cockpit like the 60S.
