Default Can anyone recommend a home builder?

We're going to buy land in the Conifer/Pine/Bailey area soon, and we want to start building next summer. I'm looking for a custom home builder who will show attention to detail and not half-ass anything. I don't want to deal with the big companies that throw together a hundred houses a year as fast as they can; I want quality and it doesn't matter how long it takes. I'd prefer someone who only does a few houses a year and hopefully just charges a flat GC fee. Any recommendations?

Builders are going to want to know what kind/size of home you are building, finishes and so on as well as budget.. Anyone worth their pay is booked out right now.

Understood. We can provide all that info. I'm just looking for personal attestations that "Builder X did a great job," or "Builder Y was a turd, don't use them."

We're going to buy the land very soon, but I have a big window to finish the house. I don't want to, but if we have to wait until 2017 to break ground, that's fine if that's what it takes to get it done right.

Mark Brenneman with New Dimensions does good work. Not sure if he works up in that area but worth a shot. He is out of Sedalia

He's done several additions (mine and neighbors) and many custom homes around town. I had a flate rate quote, GC fee. We paid as we went, he'd tell us what they were ordering, we paid the store directly. I don't believe there was any markup on materials, just straight labor and gc fee. No contracts FYI. 2A friendly.

He only does a home a year or so. About what you're looking for.

We work with many many home builders. The best guy I know is Doug Page at PCI. (719)687-3087. He's the guy I'd use to build a home for myself.

Wish you the best on your build and move up the mountain.
