    Default Freezer Meat

I have quite a lot of freezer meat that was sold to me from a farm in Kansas. Neighbors brother and father would send it to me yearly in November and I would buy half a beef. I got to where I would not cook much and have this packaged meat, that is now I think three years old. Is there anyone that can use this stuff and help me out? I'd like to even get rid of the upright freezer.

Is it hamburger, or cuts of beef? Has it been cut into pieces?

You should can it. That way, it frees up your freezer space and you still get to enjoy it.

    Are you selling it?

Not for sell. I would give it to anyone that would come get it. Girlfriend said she thinks its to old, so I thought maybe it could be used by someone who would give it to their dogs or what ever? Hamburger is all gone.

Can it, use bones and trimmings for Beef stock. YUM

I have had meat that is packed well (like that stuff) that is just fine after longer.

The trick is to not allow air to come into contact with the frozen items, or any freeze/thaw/freeze/thaw cycles to happen. Looks like that stuff should still be good for stew or braising, etc.

Wish It wasn't the start of the work week or I'd find a home for it and the freezer.

It's not too old if you have a pressure cooker!

I actually just ate a porterhouse from 2012 for dinner. Medium rare and tasty. Deep freeze meat will last a while. I buy a half a beef every 20-22 months. If it is packaged properly I never encounter freezer burn

I'd give it a shot if I was closer. Love me some rib roast.

If you're worried about it being dried out make some stock. Looks like it's packaged right so there should be some stews in your future.

I'll send my wife out to get it.
