    It'll all be safe to consume, it just might have some off flavors if any air got to the meat (it'll look a bit discolored). Most of what I can see in that picture looks fine. Make some stew or roasts, chili, etc. Braise those shortribs and put some sauce on them.

    I usually cook up freezer burned stuff and give it to the dogs for treats.

    I get all of my beef from the family ranch. I have several 2012 and 2013 packages that I am still finishing off; I try to keep the date stamps separate but that doesn't always work in the chest freezer. Anyhow, it is fine; I never had a problem with it. As long as it didn't thaw and refreeze, your are go to go. Actually, I have a 2012 roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight.

    This is my experience too. I found a roast on the bottom that was from 2010 or 11. It was fantastic. I'm not sure a grill steak would last this long. Two or three years easy in a deep freeze. Stew or soup I'd take my chances with any age if it looked okay.
