Default Contact Lense Doctors and sources

Contemplating going back to contacts, curious what reasonably priced sources and Doctors folks are using...

    Thanks

Up until June 30th I was ordering them from Canada without a scrip.
Prices were way better than anything I could get in the U.S., and my eyes have not changed in over 35 years.
Got an e-mail mid June from the Canadian company I had been using for years saying that the U.S. government had put enough pressure on Canada to stop supplying them, that they had to comply.

.... So I guess I'm in the same boat as Bert now.

costco in westminster (92nd ave) has a great doc and great prices on the contacts. I'm actually headed there tomorrow for my yearly exam. I think it is around 100 bucks for the exam. I called today and got in at 2;00 tomorrow.

It's a ways north, but Eye Care For You on Timberline in Fort Collins is a great place. Dr Provencher is a retired Army optometrist with lots of experience with shooters' needs. He even let me bring my handgun into the office to "sight in" different powers of reading glasses over my contacts. You won't find that service just anywhere.

Not sure if you have ever considered it but I would suggest seeing if you are a candidate for LASIK. I waited because of the cost for way too long. I had it done a few years ago using my flex-spending account through my former employer, the best 3k I have ever spent. Wish I would have gotten it done when I was 21 not 30. You dont realize how liberating it is to be able to see well all of the time after spending almost 20 years screwing around with glasses and contacts.

Trying to recall... <$80 for the exam. Lense prices vary depending on Rx, brand, astigmatism, etc
