Question re: Colorado Driver's License for air travel.

When I was bouncing we were told to NEVER Take an expired ID. and we could get in trouble for doing so .

Maybe it was a company policy or, most likely, most people have no idea that an expired DL is a valid ID still (assuming that the Div of Gaming/State Patrol guys know what they're talking about).

For IDing for alcohol, gambling and even Federal Tax ID purposes for us in a casino, an expired DL is fine - again, according the Div of Gaming Investigators.

If your CO DL has the gold star in the upper right hand corner then it meets the current Real ID requirements. If not, you may want to pay the $25 for a new one if you travel a lot.

I would gladly vote for any presidential candidate that ran on a platform to dismantle the TSA and NSA.

yeah I've never heard it was valid before ( if expired) and doing a quick google.. everyone else ( even the TSA) says the same thing...

Bout 17 years ago I was not allowed to gamble in blackhawk with an expired .mil dependent ID. the gaming cops even came over and said tho he believed I was over 21 I could not continue to play and needed to leave .

I have used my CO CHP as my ID at numerous airports around the country (DEN, IAD, BWI, SFO, DFW, ORD) and never had a problem. The TSA looks at you funny but then waives you through. Last time I did this was in March. YMMV.
