Brutus loved those Tire Biters. He shredded the rope in about a minute flat. But I could get the tire part to last a couple months until he chewed away the tread portion & left two frisbee - esque halves.

If a dog can't destroy an "indestructible" toy; it's not a real dog.

My dog doesn't usually destroy stuff as fast as you guys are talking about, but she likes her Jolly Ball from Costco. It's so big she can barely get it in her mouth. The only reason I thought of it is because she just came over and sat it in my lap while reading this thread. HA!
She likes to bite it right in the middle and uses the handle only as a last resort.

My lab won't destroy any toys. I worked real hard on training her to have a soft mouth for hunting reasons. She doesn't hunt anymore, but her toys last literally forever. She chews on them, but super soft like...just enough to squish them a little. Hell, she has found a few young mice outside this summer and even after a trip in her mouth, the mice run off when she let's them go.

Had a Border Collie mix that did the same thing, found the squeak diaphragm, tore it out and punctured it, then she was finished with it.

My heeler does similar, except after the squeaker is destroyed, he proceeds to remove all the parts(eyes, nose, ears, tag) one at a time like he his dissecting it.

As soon as we hear the squeaking stop toy gets tossed(he only gets stuffed toy when we can watch him), can't risk the bonehead eating the stuffing.

Regular rubber type toys(kongs etc) he just chews/bites, doesn't try to tear up.

I've heard some disappointing things about Kongs.

Size the toy! A relative had a ex service police/military german shepard (real train wreck), it ended up choking to death playing with the 9 year old. Not a good day.
