I think the mandatory court dates are more designed to catch repeat offenders and people that are knowingly driving without registration for long periods of time. They will probably drop the charges like TFOGGER if you have proof of insurance and new tags in time for the court date.
Same here.. don't remember how much the ticket was or if I paid a late fee or not..
