I think they are ugly as hell, but I think I would consider one for a new build.

Hmmmm, doesn't look too bad. Wish I could shoot like him!! I'm glad to see some (supposed) competition to Aimpoint for those of us who have no $$$... Time will tell, as with all new products. I do like Trijicon as a company, hope this works out for them.

Strange... Love to see my posts get deleted.

Just got a notification from Brownells fir a preorder. Reviews so far far that I've seen look positive and Travis Haleys was especially informative. I'm very interested as well it looks to be a viable alternative to a Micro for less $$.

Bowers has been carrying them in stock at $540 with mount, though I would recommend strongly at getting the model sans mount and putting it on an ADM QD mount.

I picked one up and I like it, only complaint that I have is that the coating on it reflects IR. I'm not sure if I prefer it over my PRO or not, but it has almost no profile when sighting with both eyes open, which is different from my PRO.

I would also say if you are running it on an AR platform go with the 1/3 co-witness, otherwise you are really pressing into the weapon to get a good sight image.

Ok. Looking for a red dot or optic of some sort.

Anyone have any any experience with the MRO?

    Thoughts?

Now that PA has a micro dot with 50k hours battery life, I have a hard time justifying the expense on an Aimpoint or Trijicon MRO for a basic AR. I can get two with mounts and some ammunition for the price of a T1. If I want more than just the dot, I think the step up is an ACOG.

50,000 hours than probably have to take advantage of the company's warranty and or replace it with a whole new optic at your own expense.

I have one of the earlier PA red dots and though the battery life is not as good, I change the battery every year and it runs as good as the day I got it. Once zeroed, it holds zero and works as well as my Aimpoint CompM4 and I like it better than my Vortex Sparc. It has been a few years, but I believe it cost me $60 or $70 for it with a mount. I haven't had to use the customer service at PA, but I have used Vortex and had nothing but excellent service.
