    Default ACOG used price

I have a ACOG TA31doc black in color. I am considering selling it. It is in good shape. I also have a killFLASH on it as well as the box and covers that came with it. Downside is the tritium is week in it. In the bathroom with no light you can barely make out the red reticle. The DOC sight works great. Glass is in good shape and the fiber optic lighting works as well.
The newer models with the RMR on it are going for $1600 plus. I really don't know where to start.
I was wondering what you all thought would be a good price for it?
    Thanks for the input.

For what it's worth, I purchased a used TA11 ECOS (no fiber optic, RMR on top, A.R.M.S. mount) for $1,200 recently. I believe MSRP is around $1900. I looked at quite a few ACOGs before purchasing and feel that I got a fair deal. I believe that the Doctor sight is not as expensive as an RMR, so you may want to start in the $1000-$1200 range for asking price... just my ยข2.

Searching On line at a few different vendors and gun sites will give you an approximate price.

Now Forget NEW Prices as it's clear you have an older not Newer model. So lets get off that train of pricing sooner then later.

Since you neglected to mention the year of mfg, It's probably 5+ yes old, if not older. One of the things one needs to do to get ACCURATE Pricing is, give a Full Description of item being offered.
We've seen too many items listed as in PERFECT CONDITION except for the small dents, cracks etc on item.

With that caveat, your scope it probably worth 1/2 - 1/3 of a new one. Not counting the cost to update tritium, it's also worth what someone is willing to pay you.

I've gotten lucky on three separate occasions and scored 4x ACOGs for $500. One TA31, two TA01NSN's. That was extreme luck though. Usually you see them going in the $600-900 range, depending on the state of the tritium and exterior condition.

Not sure how the Docter sight would factor in. You might have better luck trying to sell that separately.

There are two newer model used ones at the Gun Shop in Salida. They are asking $899 each. I looked at one of them the other day and it looked to be in almost new condition with book and cover but no box. The other one was in almost if not the same condition but with box. One of them had the red chevron, not sure about the other. Hope this helps trying to figure a price.

tritium w/reticle replacement will run 500$, so take that into consideration. I am not sure about just the tritium, but I don't think they can just replace one with out the other. I would call trijicon, and ask, then base your price from there.
    Thanks,

I purchased one here on the forums for $650, came with box and paperwork and was in pretty good shape, traded it for a Dillon 1050
