All of North Denver used to be nothing but Italians. My Grandmothers sister married into some of them and that end of the family still owns an Italian joint to this day. They own Fanelli's Amici's which used to be off of 53rd and Sheridan and moved to 43rd and Wadsworth. There are a lot of smaller family Italian joints in town still. Do not count this as a suggestion or recommendation to go there however as I am not a food critic and really do not know where they stand as to quality as I have only eaten there once at the old location.

North Denver is an interesting mix of Italian / Hispanic.

next time we're in denver, have to check them out.

Odd place to eat but interesting, when they serve food is the Potenza Lodge.

I wouldn't go out of your way with all the other alternatives around. It would seem strange eating Italian in a building that used to be an IHOP.

Amicis can't compare to Patsys. I used to work for Tony Dominico at the 92nd amicis for a couple years and helped move the other amicis when they moved to the Sheridan location.
