Oh, and I say this should be treated as a "hate crime" regardless of the suspects race/religion/ethnicity.

It's an act of desperate self preservation if you are being apprehended for a crime and shoot and killed an officer. It's a whole different thing to sneak up behind the guy while he's gassing up his car and shoot him in the back.

I'm trying to imagine what a riot involving thousands of pissed off, well-armed, right-wing types would look like. My guess is Walgreens and shoe stores would be safe. Gov't buildings...not so much.
