    Default Martial artists on here?

I am an old school roughneck Tae Kwon Do black belt who is older and overweight and lost most of his skills. It pains me to admit this. I have had quite a bit of general martial arts experience. Years ago I attended a series of seminars taught by Danny Inosanto. I want to get the edge back. Don't care what style it is. Any suggestions? I live in Edgewater (26th and Sheridan), prefer a school that has classes every day except Sunday with an Adult class at or after 6pm during the week, and is not too far away. Any suggestions?

Professional MMA or something like that right there at 29th and Sheridan... white building South East Corner. Been there for a long time.

Retired Brown/Red belt here. I mentally practice and goof around with a friend now and then who is much better than me, minus his asthma. run him in circles then attack.

My advice is shop around. Most of instructor or GMs are fairly decent in teaching, untill student becomes about 3rd or 4th degrees.
If the instructor or GM has connection with KTA, and have student in National WTF/ITF level is a huge plus.

I've been to that school. It's schedule really does not work with me and truthfully, I didn't feel welcome after a few weeks. It is difficult for an "advanced" belt to attend a new school. I honestly did my best to stay humble, but when some of the brown belts saw that they didn't intimidate me, I started getting the cold shoulder. True story.

Understand. Not many others I can recommend or are reasonably close.

I've been divorced twice so I must suck at marital arts
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

2nd degree black belt . . . Kempo Jujitsu. I haven't trained much the last couple years after a bicep rupture and surgery. Been back a few times, but really need to make it a consistent thing again.

Can't help much with recommendations in your part of town. I agree with checking out a bunch of schools and seeing what jumps out at you. Most that are decent will let you try it out for a week or two without a commitment to see if you like it.
