I been out a couple of times, no luck here. Never had luck with turkeys during the season. About 3 weeks before the season I was out scouting an area for deer and had 4 of them walk 30 yards in front of me.

I hear ya fellas its been a rough go for us too. Sat on a solid spot for about 3 hours and had em calling back and closing in then something spooked them and poof gone! Headed out Sunday again same area hoping for better results!
I typically don't call in the fall season and hope to spot them. What type of calls are you using in fall? Hen yelp?

In the fall I usually do spot and stalk. That is how I got my turkey this year. Just walk quietly and do a few yelps every now and then. They hang around thinking you're another turkey. Has worked really well for us.

Alright guys I have struck out this year and have one last weekend to help a buddy get his first turkey. Any suggestions?? Headed out from the springs don't mind a 1 to 2 hour drive. We have been up in the divide area, planned on heading east towards rainbow falls this weekend. Hoping to try the spot and stalk as we have not had any luck sitting and calling. I am still learning Colorado so this year has been interesting.
Thanks fellas
Unit 58 has a ton of turkeys.

The one year I don't get a fall turkey tag I come across a half dozen toms while bear hunting. Didn't care that I was there, one stopped and stared at me about 15 yards away. I had a .50 beowulf, I thought about it since he was taunting me but ultimately made the right choice. Of course I didn't see a legal bear the entire month.
I got a hen today. Nothing special, but not much season left to be picky.
