We're in your corner. Best to you both, and to those caring for your wife.
We're in your corner. Best to you both, and to those caring for your wife.
Positive thoughts and well wishes to both of you.
Prayers and good vibes to your loved one and you.
Prayers going out for the both of you
Prayers for you and Mrs. Gman... do not lose hope, he is the great physician that can heal through vast distance and circumstance.
Don't hesitate to call upon others for what seems like petty needs (like bringing you food, etc).
I wish I was closer, but if there's anything we can do let us know...

Just got back from the hospital and got caught up here. Thank you so much. This community is the bestest. My faith is unwavering and sustains me.
The wife was finally getting a unit of blood in her shoulder just before I left. Just about every vein in her arms and hands has been tapped out. They even tried her foot the other day. We're hoping that they'll be able to put in the port tomorrow that will eventually be used for her chemo because it can be used for blood draws, transfusions, you name it. The paperwork was still being kicked around and a debate of a PICC line vs. the port. I sure hope it's the port since there's a reduced opportunity for infection and isn't as temporary.
The cardiac Dr. came in just before we left and they're pretty confident that her heart was just stressed due to the extra work needed and inadequate oxygen levels and not damaged permanently, but they want to get some echocardiogram views to make sure.
She'll probably be in for a couple of days to make sure she's good-to-go the next time she comes home.
If you've never read it before, John MacArthur's book Anxious for Nothing can really help in times like this (not an endorsement for Amazon, just linking for the info).

Thoughts and prayers,,sent.
Her hematocrit numbers are even lower this morning after the unit of blood. They're going to put more blood into her, but she's apparently leaking somewhere, but it doesn't appear to be from the surgical site since her drains are looking really good. Crazy stuff.
