I'm a little surprised that nobody has yet started a thread on the Republican Primary debates. Is everyone just sick of politics in general? Did anybody watch?
If you didn't watch, you missed some good stuff, like the worlds most awkward high-five:

My Feedback
"When law and morality contradict each other, the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense or losing his respect for the law." -Frederic Bastiat
"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."
― Russell Kirk, Author of The Conservative Mind
At this point, more than a year out, it doesn't seem to make much difference in what order the clowns pile out of the car. The GOP establishment will field yet another uninspiring, middle of the road, beige candidate, that may or may not get elected based on how popular and energizing the opposition is. Voter apathy will reign, and we'll end up with another career politician in the Oval Office, systematically working to move us towards a dictatorship.

Discussion is an exchange of intelligence. Argument is an exchange of
ignorance. Ever found a liberal that you can have a discussion with?

I'm uninspired and could care less. At this point the only way to have a decent field is to send everyone running, a package of Tar & Feathers.

After last night I favor Rubio AND Fiorina but who knows by next week ?
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.
That speech was 14 years ago and don't you think that maybe the media took it out of context?

Two weeks after 9/11. She said islamic civilization was the greatest in the world. I'm not sure how that's taken out of context.
Also found this in an article (from her book--which i have not verified as accurate):
"I remember hearing, for the first time, Muslims pray, and how over time their sound evolved from being frightening in its strangeness to comforting in its cadence and repetition—I would feel the same peace when I listened to the sound of summer cicadas around my grandmother's house. I grew to love being awakened in the morning by the sound of the devout man who always came to pray under my bedroom window."
now that sounds like the sentiment of the occupant of the white house...
I saw it and was encouraged that for the most part the candidates ignored Tapper as he tried to sic em on each other. Sure, they had some disagreements but a lot less red meat than CNN clearly wanted. Also notable was how often candidates had to correct Tapper's characterizations of things they previously said. I can't vouch for every instance, but a couple I was aware of were most definitely misrepresented or taken out of context by CNN. Before the main debate started, you could tell you were listening to CNN by all of the praise directed toward Lindsey Graham. I really don't expect these debates to have an effect on anything.
