So who's buying?
I'd love one, especially that they are made in colorado. I shudder at the thought of the price
I'm probably going to send him my SA lower to get his ProTrac checkering. I did a quick search and most relevant info was posted in Jan-March 2015 and this person was noticed that he's next in line for a full house custom. Quoted 12-18 months after being on the list for 4-5years. His build sheet didn't include all the bells and whistles and his quote is $9k.
these comments i'm sure certainly make me sound like a rube, and i appreciate the good, handmade workmanship, but i wonder if one of these uber-custom guns at say 9K is worth it in any practical way? (that's not to say i don't understand that a ferrari is "worth it" or an expensive diamond is "worth it," or wine, etc.
but i can see, on a practical level, the advantages say a wilson/ed brown/nighthawk/baer 1911 might bring over a standard 1911. that's 2-3X the price over a standard and there's a world of difference. at some point, there's a diminishing return and you're simply buying because you can, or you want the thing. more power to those that can swing it.
I hear you on that. It's whatever floats your boat and what you can afford to spend. His attention to detail and machine work are what I like he most. Trust me, I know what how much time is spent envisioning something, putting it paper and then throwing steel chips. You're paying for their experience and time. Not too sure many of his customers shoot them on a regular basis, but I have heard of Stan attending Front Sight and his pistol never failed.
Really pretty machinery.
Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.
