    Default Blow in insulation service

Have a section of my home that needs some insulation blown in. Not an attic , but under part of an addition we did.
Don't want to mess with doing it myself. Anyone here provide such a service ?

I am pretty sure that blow in insulation is not for "under an addition", it is for attics & hollows in walls.
You probably need to staple batts of insulation up to the underside. Or, spray expanding foam type up onto the underside.
My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and it stinks more than mine.

Thanks fellas. I guess I need expanding foam insulation. Will see what companies do this. Batts are not an option at this point.

You can do blown in underneath.. What they will do is staple a mesh/fabric to the bottom of the joists and then fill'er up. See it all the time.

If the space underneath is dirt/gravel spray foam will act a bit as a vapor barrier as well.

Blown in pros: can service anything buried in the insulation without too much trouble vs spray foam where your plumbing and everything else will be incapsulated in the foam.

This is who I was going to recommend. They did great work for me, walked me through everything, and gave me a rundown after. I'm sure they can do anything you need.
