I dream that I can't afford the GAP that I'd like... Never mind, that's real.

I used to have those dreams semi-often. Always had a gun, almost never had any ammo.
Twice in my crazy dreams I had everything come together when needed and still remember both vividly. Haven't had a firearm dream in decades though.
I've had dreams where the trigger was too heavy to pull.
The most screwed up dreams I've had were after watching a marathon of the first four seasons of the walking dead last fall with only a few sleep breaks...never watched the show before that.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I've had them. Two symptoms, sometimes just one in a dream, but often both.
1. Trigger weighs like 40lbs. I have to use both my left and right trigger fingers together to make the gun fire.
2. Bullets seem to have no effect on the aggressor, and I run out of ammo before stopping them.
I'm like 0 for 40 on dream SD shootings. The two above problems always happen, and I wake up every time before stopping the bad guy or him stopping me

My Feedback
"Praise be to our prophet, John Moses Browning, who hath bestowed upon us the new testament of shooting. Delivered unto us, his disciples, on 29 March 1911 A.D."
I had one last night in which I went for my gun against some intruders, only to realize I had taken it apart for cleaning and couldn't find all the pieces. I've had a few of the ones where you pull the trigger and either nothing happens or the bullet is ineffective. I have had far, far more where I'll be trying to beat the crap out of someone, only realizing that my fists are impacting like pillows.
Math is tough. Let's go shopping!
Boy would Freud have a field day with this one.
I used to have nightmares where I couldn't pull the trigger, like J said, extremely heavy to where it required both hands or like it was on safe. I told my cousin about my dreams, he's not a big gun guy, but his immediate response was "you don't trust your gun". The next few times I went to the range, I specifically thought about those dreams while practicing and no more issues.... sure there are a lot more zombies now but at least my gun works. When you think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense, same probably goes for the ineffective dreams. Now if your barrel it too short and the zombies laugh at you, it's probably a different issue.
Nope. Can't recall ever having any gun-related nightmares. All of my dreams always turn out exactly as I train for "shituations"....and my gun always fires, the trigger feels exactly the same as it does in real life... if anything, the dreams are in slow motion so i'm able to jump and "glide" and shoot incredibly accurately while on the move.

I've got a couple.. None recurring though
Clearing a house with I'm guessing a swat team.. Someone jumps out from a fake wall, I turn to see a shotgun leveled at me. As I go to fire I get blasted in the chest. I woke up gasping for breath. Like GSP had just landed a front kick directly to my diaphragm
2nd many years later I was walking down what I could only think to be was a 'river walk' with the gf. if you guys know the building all look the same, fairly wide street, no cover to be had in the street type area. All of a sudden all hell breaks loose. It turns into a scene from American sniper. Rubble, bombed out buildings all around and incoming fire from rooftops. The gf is still with me, and I've now got full battle gear, and a jtac on comms. Had to cover her as we got to safety, she was essentially the client and all the shit hit all the fans. Sadly it wasn't zombies. Woke up petrified after. Took a min for all things to come together and to realize it was a dream. I had just finished reading a Clancy book... I blamed it on that.
